Incoterms are universal terms that define a transaction between an importer and an exporter. They are implemented and agreed upon so that both parties understand their tasks, costs, risks and responsibilities of the transaction. They also dictate the terms of the logistics and transportation management of the product from the time it leaves the exporter to the time its received by the importer.
